The Designated Decoy

A police officer was parked outside a bar in Donegal Town, waiting for potential drunk drivers.

At closing time, a man stumbled out, barely able to walk. He fumbled with his keys for five different cars before finding his own. He sat inside for several minutes while other patrons drove away. Finally, he started the engine, flashed his lights, honked the horn, and moved a few inches forward and backward. When he was the last car left, he pulled out onto the road. The officer immediately pulled him over and administered a breathalyzer test. To the officer's amazement, it registered zero alcohol. "I'll have to take you to the station," the officer said. "This equipment must be broken." The man smiled and replied, "I doubt it. Tonight, I'm the designated decoy!"
