Grandma's Sentence

A grandmother was arrested by the police for shoplifting. When she and her husband appeared in court, the judge asked, "What did you steal?"

The grandmother answered, "A bag of peaches." The judge asked, "How many peaches were in that bag?" "Six, Your Honor," she replied. The judge thought for a moment and said, "So, you will go to jail for six days—one day for each peach." Suddenly, the grandfather interrupted, "May I say something quite important that might change your judgment, Your Honor?" "Go ahead," said the judge. The grandfather shouted, "She also stole a can of peas!"
