Tortured Souls

A Russian man named Ivan died and arrived at the Judgment Hall.

The line was huge, so he went ahead to see the process. Saint Peter was at the gates asking men one question: "Married?" "Yes," the first man replied. Saint Peter sent him to Heaven. The next person replied, "No," and was sent to Hell. Ivan understood the system, went back to his spot, and waited for his turn. When he reached the front, Saint Peter asked Ivan if he was married. Ivan quickly replied, "Yes! Twice!" Saint Peter immediately sent him to Hell. Ivan interrupted, shouting, "Why Hell? I was married!" Saint Peter replied, "Heaven is for tortured souls, not for fools."
