I Am Pagliacci

A depressed man goes to a doctor.

He tells the doctor, "I'm depressed; life has no meaning. I feel alone in a threatening world with an uncertain future. What should I do?" The doctor says, "The treatment is simple. The great clown Pagliacci is performing in town this week. Go see him and he should cheer you right up." The man bursts into tears. "But doctor," he says, "I am Pagliacci."
