Lucky Red Shirt

Did you hear the one about the captain's lucky shirt?

A pirate captain is walking along the deck of his ship when the lookout yells, "Spanish treasure ship in range!" The captain rallies his men and calls to his first mate, "Bring me my lucky red shirt!" The captain puts the shirt on, the pirates battle bravely, and they capture the ship. Afterward, the first mate asks, "Captain, why do you wear that red shirt?" The captain replies, "If I'm wounded, the men won't see me bleed and will keep fighting." The next day, the lookout yells, "Captain! Fifteen enemy galleons approaching!" The captain turns to his first mate and says, "Bring me my lucky red shirt and my brown pants!"
