Curing the Baby
For many hours, a young mother has been desperately trying to calm her infant son who is exceptionally fussy and won't eat. After reading a couple of articles, the young mother concludes her son must have thrush. She tries to call the doctor, but the doctor can do nothing until the next day.
Later, the husband arrives home from work. He listens to his wife tell him about his son's ailment. When the wife finishes, the husband asks her to bring him a deck of cards. He takes the pack of cards and fishes out three Kings and two Queens. "Put these cards in his crib with him and let him sleep with them all night." "I don't understand," utters the wife. "Well, as any gambler will tell you, a full house beats a thrush."
