Band Rehearsal Cancelled

Little Johnny missed school today...

Little Johnny missed school today, but not wanting to miss his after-school band rehearsal, he decided to call the front office. "Hello, this is Johnny. I missed school today. What time will band rehearsal be?" The secretary answered, "I'm sorry, Johnny. You must not have heard. Mr. Jones had a heart attack and died. There will be no band rehearsal." "Thank you," said Johnny, and hung up. A few minutes later, the secretary heard the phone ring again. It was Little Johnny. "Hello, this is Johnny. I missed school today. What time will band rehearsal be?" The secretary responded, "Like I said before, Johnny, Mr. Jones had a heart attack and died. There will be no band rehearsal." "Thank you," Johnny said, and hung up. A few minutes later, the phone rang yet again. "Hello, this is Johnny. I missed school today. What time will band rehearsal be?" The secretary snapped, "Johnny, what don't you understand? Mr. Jones had a heart attack, he died, and there will be no band rehearsal!" Johnny replied, "Oh, I understood you the first time. I just loved hearing you say it."
